KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress former General Secretary and Chairperson of dissolved Rajparishad Standing Committee Parshu Narayan Chaudhary breathed his last at Patan Hospital at 2.15 am on Thursday.
He was 86.
Chaudhary had long been afflicted from asthma and heart ailments.
Chaudhary had quitted party politics and entered the Panchayat with his supporters in 1979.
He had also served the country as an education minster in the Panchayati regime.
His body would be kept on the premises of Nepal Academy from 11.00 am for final tribute and would be cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat today.
